for people thinking game is Denuvo and that CODEX is reborn , forget it , if the game got release as a standalone with all the up to date dlc it is because denuvo got remove from that game . ( Steam + custom in NFO , it is not denuvo anymore ) . CODEX cannot do anything anymore about Denuvo , you have to live with it . Warez scene is dead in term of cracking real protection since 10 months now . Maybe it will change maybe it never will .

Zed:Chec files integrity – delete in utorernt/bittorrent (whichever you are using) a torrent of game but don’t delete game files for instalation. Then again torrent file in this site and it will say that there are files on pc of the same torrent,click yes and it will chech the integrity and if there is something missing it will start ing. Don’t forget to seed.

NOway: its not about time how much you seed,but about number of seeders while number of seeders doesn’t always mean the speed will be good. It depends upon the speed of the seeder. If a seeder can at 5MBps then you can get a good share out of it, If 5 seeder are ing at 10 kbps then your max speed of 50 kbps. So the answer is seed as long as you can.
if someone is stuck while installing the game with the isdone.dll error, try to delete the files, extract one more time and try a new install
does someone else have the problem that the language doesn’t change? not through the steam_emu file and not ingame, it stucked in Ukraine for me for some reason and I dunno why. I even tried to change it in the .cfg still doesn’t working. If someone has a solution for it, it would be great.

okay so, first time i launched this everything went so well, i just tested it if it works until the day after, I literally can’t change the god-knows what language both onscreen and audio, i checked .cfg, (lang_text and audio is both “uk”) checked steam_emu.ini, ed and installed the “New Hotfix” but no nothing worked out, any suggestions?

Someone please help. The game was running fine the other day but now when I run it, starting from the main menu the game is permanently stuck in Russian and no matter what I do I can’t change it. I looked inside all the config files with “language” and they are all showing that it’s english. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help. It was all english the other day. Well, after around 5 hours in game and multiple restarts, the game sets itself in ukrainian language with no way to change it… ingame lang changes doesn’t work, not even “.cfg” changes. It just rewrites the change back to “uk”. Not even “read only” to .cfg doesn’t do nothing… will reinstall and see if that does anything… may that be some kind of pirate protection? Well, who knows.

The game has been running perfectly fine for several days since I started playing it. I had voice in Russian and subtitles in English. Today, for whatever reason, I start the game and everything is set in Ukrainian. I try to change it but to no effect, the changes don’t save. What the hell is wrong with this crap? Should I another version instead of CODEX?
For anyone having problems with the language please do the following:
Block the game’s .exe in firewall. Both inbound and outbound.
then go to:
C:\s\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\412020\remote
in “” search for “lang” and change it from uk (ukraine) to us.

so I found why it is changing it to ukraine/russian, it’s because of the steam_api64.dll, I tried to just change the exe files, everything worked fine I could change the language but couldn’t play the dlc’s, replaced the dll file, it changed to ukraine/russian and I could play the dlc’s but I actually wanna play it on english so yeah I think we need to wait for a fix or use another dll file but I dunno where to get it from
game was fine until suddenly it changed it’s language by itself to Russia or polish i don’t know how to read it nor recognize it, did everything i can do to change it to english for so many times, i hope someone find a way to fix this or just let CODEX find out how and fix it in another hotfix, anyway i did use the hotfix and it’s still not working. i even open the regeditor to see if there’s a way to change it

Language Fix
On June 2, 2020 developers introduces a new antipiracy check for running game executable, if it has access to the Internet. The game now always forces to Ukrainian, no matter what language you had before.
There is a fix for that:
Open steam_emu.ini in game root with any text editor and add BlockConnection=1 on a new line after Offline=0, then save the file
Open C:\s\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\412020\remote\.cfg in any text editor and edit lang_sound and lang_text params (lang_sound us & lang_text us – for English, in example)
Repeat the same operation with “C:\s\\Saved Games\metro exodus\76561197960267366\.cfg”
Play in your desired language.
Alternatively you can BLOCK MetroExodus.exe in your Firewall (check this link for how to do it) and then switch the language either by running included BAT-files or with manual editing of “C:\s\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\412020\remote\.cfg”. If you don’t know how to configure your Firewall – you may simply unplug your Internet connection for the game session.

Figured this one out.
For anyone having a Language stuck issue –
1. Go to “%SystemDrive%\s\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\412020” folder on your PC (system drive is where your windows is located at, like C, D, etc.)
2. Open “.cfg” file with a wordpad/notepad
3. Locate the strings “lang_sound” and “lang_text” and replace both uk with en/ru
4. Save the file and launch the game
Was able to solve the non-changeable Ukranian language for me with this.

do the same for #LobbyPort=31183
and for the dlc #id name
launch the game and the options are right under that small screen in the menu. choose the 2nd option and scroll the mouse below and change the languages to english from ukrainian. you will possibly understand which language is english in russian. Game works perfect for me.

What Steven writes works, but I just added BlockConnection = 1 in the root directory. Save Changes. Nothing more and the game works as it should, in the settings you select the language of the caption and you are snorting.
Do exactly as Steven says it works just fine.
Make sure to type BlockConnection with capital B and C, I forgot to write a capital C
thats why it didn´t work for me.
But now it runs fine and dandy!

La seule méthode pour modifier la langue du jeu en anglais (ou français dans mon cas) est de jouer sans la connexion Internet.
Suivre les étapes suivantes :

FIRST method
1. Block “game.exe” in firewall, inbound and outbound (google it, if u dont know how)
2. go to “C:\s\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\412020\remote” open “.cfg”, find “lang_sound uk” & “lang_text uk” change both to “lang_sound us” & “lang_text us”.
If it still in ukrain try change it in game setting, and if it still doent work u not doin it correctly at blocking “game.exe” in firewall.
SECOND method
1.find and open at crack file “steam_emu.ini”
2.find “#Id=0”, “#LobbyPort=31183”, “#ID=Name”
3.delete the “#” so it become “Id=0”, “LobbyPort=31183”, “ID=Name” and save
4.change language at game setting>> second bar >> two bar at the bottom change to “англійська”
THIRD method
1.just unplug the internet (I have not tried this method)

WASTE OF TIME the game is in Russian. You have to know Russian to know how to change any settings and understand the game story.
How do you access the DLC, do I have to play the main history first?
Hmmm the dlc the two colonels is broken, i get blackscreen with subtitles in the middle of the game and it doesnt get any good!

Looks like broken, can’t change language in menu. States it’s english, but gets back to russian. DLC not working.
To change the language you need to edit the file
sku_cfg.bin

If the game takes u to Steam then from Steam, go to Steams file location (for me it was in Program files x89) and rename Steam.exe (for me it was just Steam and i changed it to Stem. And to use capital S!!) and if the game still wont start reinstall the game.
And if u want to play ur Steam games again then just change the name back to Steam or Steam.exe
And if you want to play the game again just do it again.
