    i also had the controller problem, and i found a fix for “my” problem

    i’m using logitech gamepad with the Direct input and Xinput toggle switch on it
    what i did
    1. unplug my controller from the usb drive
    2. start the game
    3. plug controller into the usb drive WITH direct input toggled
    4. all buttons are working, minus the directional button but analog move is fine

    have to repeat this tedious steps everytime i open the game but at least i can use my gamepad
    not sure if this would help everyone else, at least i can share something

    This game looks really fun.

    I said that in very sarcastic tone. But you can’t tell from text.

    Just saying for controller issue.
    Using your “Made in China” direct input controller is your problem.
    Who use direct input nowadays?
    Just get any Xinput controller, and yes there are “Made in China” Xinput, Logitech, PS4 and some
    other third party.
    If still an issue with Xinput, that game is the cheap shit problem then.

    Game keeps crashing on launch.. a black screen with japanese text..

    …Not understand when publisher want to port any game from console to PC
    to make a more money? they can spent a little time to optimize their game basic
    to mouse and keyboard for basic control in game…
