Hmm, I have wrong tool tips after the update… Not sure if it was present before update because I only just tried playing.
Any fix for this?
when i tried to install the update from the setup file it just create a new folder named DW 8 – Xtreme Legends in my game directory, the folder contains RES folder, Launcher and LINKDATA.IDX
i tried to copy and paste the cracked content from the CODEX folder in the ed files to my game directory, it works until i get to the gallery / option menu in game, the name keep changing whenever you highlight it (for example Wallpaper changed to Next battle when you tried to move the cursor there)
and when you tried to open the wallpaper, the game stopped working.
also i don’t see any japanese voice option after installing this update, it seems my installation method is wrong.
can you explain to me how do you install this update correctly? i’ve been trying to install this for the past 3 hours and still not working at all.. please help
is this the Complete Edition?
this is just the update patch for this game. You need to add this to the original game folder which can be ed on this website as well. Just copy everything including the crack to the original game folder.

Okay so I had the original game cracked by CODEX and it ran smooth exempt a few times where the screen would freeze going into a map, that was no big deal to me I always saved my games. I managed to get this one to work (For those who have the black screen when it launches what I did to fix it was simply the applications in the folders in both the original game and this crack.) Only problem is, I can’t play Ambition Mode anymore! It was my favorite part of this game. Does ANYONE have any idea how to fix this?

i’ve try this update, why the menu’s name wil change/wrong when the select light on it? Battle Menu change with “Offline Play” , stage will be change as the hero’s name. It’s bug or the game is like that?

For those who can read you must change the directory not just click install. Change it to where to installed the file like mine is on Drive D so I just chose D since it auto find the folder in that location. After updating it will open cmd with file #1 etc so just wait for it to finish.
btw is the dlc weapon suppose to be really few? then again that special dlc weapon is good.

run “setup.exe” in the update folder first, then move the files in the codex folder to overwrite the files in the installation folder

I did as Chronicle said, and then i did copy all the codex folder info into the folder where my game is, but once i start the game it doesn’t do anything, stays black screen, sometimes just ends up crashing…
There’s any solution to run it properly? any preferred compatibility option in properties?
Im using windows 10 home 64 bits. The game doesnt give me problems in the first version tho.

Your game cracked by 3DMGame have 3DMGAME file in folder game, update v1.02 and copying crack of codex will have a codex file. Just delete codex file your game will be normal

Can someone PLEASE just write up an instruction guide step by step in detail? Every time I patch it, the names of the options change, e.g. In gallery, weapons turns into “Shu” and the names change when I hover over them. Why is it doing this?!?!??!

As Chronicle said you have to pick the folder where your game directory is at and not the game directory itself. For example my game directory is “D:\Games\Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends” , so in my case I pick “D:\Games”, if you did it correctly a cmd window should pop up to patch the files and complete the installation.

I have just succeeded in installing this game and updating this version.
First, I want to say that this is an update only, not a full game. You can the full game here:

Just it, then you mount disc. After that you click “setup” and choose the hard drive and folder you want to install the game. After that, access to that folder which you have just install the game, go to “Common Redist” -> “DirectX” -> “Jun2010” -> run the application “directX”. Then you go to “vcredist” -> “2010” -> and run “vcredist x64” and “vcredist x86”. (THESE STEPS SOLUTE THE ISSUE OF “MISSING VCOMP.100” )
After finish all the steps above, you go back to the ed folder and copy all files in codex and paste them into the folder of your game. (this is crack step).
So, that is how to install the game. Now for the updating.
To update, you file on this page. Then open the folder “Update”, you will see the “setup” again. Run it, change the directory not just click install. For example my game directory is “D:\Games\Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends”, so i pick “D:\Games” and it will auto find the folder of your game. If you did correctly, a cmd window will appear and you just wait until it complete the installation.
