    no point playing this until its complete and comes out of beta,theres just a single level of the xen part n thats empty mostly.

    This is NOT Black Mesa Xen. This i think was Black Mesa, a fan made mod for Half Life 2. This still runs on the old Half-Life 2 engine whereas Xen will be based on unreal 4 engine and may even include ray tracing for all the RTX owners out there. This is definately not Black Mesa Xen.

    I Will go back to patiently waiting for Xen to be released in public beta.

    @Angry: i dont think you it before you comment here lol its BETA Public branch of Xen/Genorach which is out (1 August)

    Next time check steam page of the game so u can be sure if its out or not

    @Pinchmaple: just place files inside SSE folder it in the folder with the bms.exe and run BMS_Launcher and your good to go!

    Hey guys this is how i got it to work.

    so after installing the game you go inside the crack folder and copy paste everything into the game directory after that if you get message access denied. : go to your game directory folder ( right click ) and untick read only ) than go to security and under group or names click EDIT and you will see permissions below just tick the them all ( ALLOW ) click apply & ok. launch BMS_launcher and right click the icon and click create desktop shortcut. there you go

    this takes only few seconds. my instructions are rough. sorry ^^

    Just for anyone out there that want to full experience, Black Mesa Source is in BETA but is playable and ed by Synergy (online multiplayer). Install xen + bms if you want a full gameplay.

    Black Mesa Source can be found here: moddb.com/mods/black-mesa/s/black-mesa-torrent

    Keep in mind it’s still beta but there’s people working on it.

    Like above. Go into “Your computer> (RMB on) Black Mesa> leave blank “read only”>APPLY. And all done. Then go into a dir and lunch BMS_luncher and double click on BMS icon.

    For those who tried the READ ONLY and PERMISSIONS fix, and are still having trouble launching the game. Search for the file *VIDEOCONFIG.CFG* inside the game folder, put your native screen resolution and alter the section “ScreenWindowed” from 0 to 1, then save and you’re good to go!! 😉
    You can change to fullscreen again once you’re in the game menu.

    As instrucitons mentioned, just copy crack contents into main directory. Then remove ‘read only’ from main directory folder. After launching bms launcher, double click icon and it should work
