you Do know that you can play ALL these games with an emulator , right ?
This is completely different as it runs natively on PC without the need for an emulator plus it has all the kinds of settings you’d see on a normal PC game
You can’t play this game on emulator like you can play this game natively on PC in 8k, 240fps, with raytracing if someone decides to add it later and god knows what else. That’s the difference.
And there are games you CANNOT play on emulator in the case of X360, which CAN be recompiled into C for native PC use. Those will come in the future and it’s a good thing.

An emulator has to convert a console’s programming language to a PC operating system’s programming language. This conversion process results in an emulated game requiring much more GPU processing. If and when a console game is successfully recompiled into native PC programming, the extra GPU requirement is eliminated.
@ZamasuGod Not official but very real. Someone recompiled the xbox 360 version to make a PC port. Been playing it for the last couple days and as pretty perfect.

Not at all difficult to set-up. All you need is a good Xbox 360 emulator, a bin file for the emulator, and a ROM of the game.

it’s not emulator, someone found a way to decrypt XBOX 360 games (yesterday) and he/she release tool for that, mean you are actually playing PC version
And this “tool” is essentialy an emulator. lol
An emulator translates PowerPC code to X86, on the fly, and there are some things that are missed (accuracy) or mistranslated.
This is a static port, meaning all the code has been ported and translated to PC, natively.
Calling this an emulator is the same as calling the PC release of any Sony game an emulator, or any Doom port on different platforms are just “emulation”, and it’s not.

Not sure why the websites elsewhere is reporting that you need the OG iso xbox file to be able to run this, i just extracted the files and it starts up.
because this has the original iso file embedded on it. That’s why SEGA has issued websites like ROMSFUN or ROMSPURE to remove Sonic Unleashed from their data base. SEGA is far worse than Nintendo!
I have windows 10 as SO. I open UnleashedRecomp.exe both normally and as an and the game doesn’t start. What are the requirements? Because I have a PC in wich I can play games like Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III but this doesn’t works.

Quick, it before fucking SEGA and their stupid copyright trolls nuke this place entirely.
This is a brilliant Native PC port (not an emulator) that works perfectly and has options not only to change screen resolution but internal resolution as well. plus, it runs amazingly on my 512GB Steam Deck.
Not in thousands years could SEGA release such a delicate port of Sonic Unleashed on PC, and even if they did, they would have sealed it behind Denuvo forever and ruined it performance subsequently for eternity to come. Just like they did to Sonic Colours back in 2021 (Sonic Colors: Ultimate)
